Pregnancy Questions

Ask any health care provider, former mother or woman who is currently pregnant, and they will all atest to the never-ending series of pregnancy questions they asked or continue to ask throughout the nine months in which they're carrying around a developing fetus. Even women who are on their second or third pregnancy may still have questions. Every pregnancy is different, although there are a few common questions and a few that require a more individualized context.

Every day, more questions will come up. Most of which will end with, "is this normal?" And when it comes down to what it takes to ensure the optimal health of a baby, there's no such thing as a stupid question. For some questions, such as how much alcohol can a woman consume before putting her child at risk of developing fetal alcohol syndrome does not have a conclusive answer. However, it's probably smarter to abstain from all alcohol once a woman discovers she's pregnant.

Other questions, such as "What can and can't you eat while pregnant?" is also easily accessed online. However, the tougher questions, such as "What kind of exercise is appropriate?" or "How much weight should you gain?" is more dependent on a woman's lifestyle, the kind of pregnancy she is experiencing as well as whether she was over or underweight at the time of pregnancy.

Other pregnancy questions such as, "How can you tell the difference between normal pains and ones that could indicate something is wrong with the pregnancy?" may require a woman to contact her doctor for advice or to put her mind at ease.
