Maternity homes serve pregnant women, many regardless of whether or not an adoption is planned.

Maternity homes are typically dorm-like residences which offer housing, transportation and other services to women who are facing an unplanned pregnancy and, for whatever reason, need a place to stay through the duration of their pregnancy.
