HI, My understanding of the laws on tax deductible donations is that they can only be made to an organization that meets certain requirements set forth in the US tax code.

My RE takes donations as well, you might want to contact another RE or "infertility specialist" to see if they take donations. Also, you might wanna check out a med school or something if there's one near by. Just a thought.

Mom, there are some RE practices that handle embryo donations without home studies and/or additional fees above and beyond the medical fees associated with the actual transfer. If your daughter is with a reproductive endocrinology practice, she should ask them about embryo donation.
