Birth Announcements

After a few months or well over a year of waiting for an adoption placement, it seemed the day would never come or couldn't get there fast enough. As adoptive parents, you've been dreaming about and are finally able to hold the infant you're going to raise and start a family with. The waiting is over and the journey as parents can begin. But after that long haul, adoptive parents are as deserving as any for some celebratory bragging! That's right, we're talking birth announcements. Writing a brief birth announcement for the local paper is one way to herald the masses about your newborn. But more intimate announcements are also in store and include mailing photos of the baby with birth announcements. It's probably best to wait until the adoption has been finalized, but birth announcements would also be a great way to let people know about a baby shower. Adoption services and fees for private agencies and independent attorney fees are expensive, so no couple deserves some free diapers and cute baby clothes than adoptive parents.

Documenting a child's homecoming and birth will be something an adoptee can cherish and celebrate as he or she matures.

As a side note: adoptees hoping to find a birth announcement regarding their biological parents is particularly rare if it was the birth mother's intention to place the child after her pregnancy came to term.
